Disney On Ice: Princesses & Heroes
Disney On Ice came to Warsaw and I got the chance to see it! I saw the ad on an electronic billboard at the centre of Warsaw when I was on my way to class. My friend agreed to tag along so I bought the tickets online. And that was the night before I had my Laboratory Diagnosis exam! It was so hard! I thought I was going to flunk the exam. But, alhamdulillah, I passed.
So we reached Torwar about 10 am. We were 1 hour early! Talk about enthusiasm! We were actually not very familiar with the venue so we planned to go there early. We thought that it would take like half an hour to reach there but it’s only a few minutes, 6 bus stops to be exact, from Centrum. I did check jakdojade but I’m pretty sure now that I didn’t look at the time of journey when I checked the route. Oh yeah, we took bus number 171 straight to Torwar.
We walked to the entrance. They divided the entrance into 3 lines. 2 for Ticket Pro and 1 for Alterart Show. I bought the tickets online from Alterart Show and luckily the queue was not that long so we didn’t have to spend so much time queuing. As we entered the place, we saw so many booths selling Disney Princesses merchandise (of course besides popcorns, drinks and waffles). If my size were smaller and shorter, I would buy them
I guessed we were the only ‘adults’ there without a small sister or a child with us. I mean, every time we saw people came in, there were always a child with them. The girl sitting next to me got a Belle doll. I’m jealous! Some got Flounder hat. My friend adored the hat so much!
Although it was in Polish, it was an enchanting experience for me. Magical even, I can say! LOL
My friend and I had so much fun! We guessed the names of the dwarfs, we guessed who was going to come out next, we sang along (in English, because we had no idea how to sing in Polish). And speaking of that, the girl sitting behind me sang through the whole song when Princess Tiana was on ice. In Polish. We were…impressed?
As I was browsing for some pictures, I saw this page. It was just updated few hours ago. I searched for Księżniczki i Herosi so it must be the photos from today’s or yesterday’s show, in Warsaw.
Tinkerbell opens the show, then followed by Aladdin and Jasmine, Snow White and the dwarfs, Belle, Ariel, Tiana, Aurora, Cinderella, Rapunzel, not forgetting Mickey, Minnie and Goofy.
I love how they quickly change the settings, like from Cinderella’s castle to the woods setting for Rapunzel. The dancers, graceful. I think I like Aladdin and The Little Mermaid parts the most, and also the part when Prince Phillip fighting the Dragon. I love the bubbles coming down during the ‘Under The Sea’ scene. Very lively and glittery! The ending was MAGICAL! Magically epic!
I would definitely watch the show again if I have the chance. There will be UK tour in Spring 2012! Hmm.. *thinking about going to the UK to watch the show*
