“Enjoy your Mac!”. That’s what the Machines store guy said when he gave me the bag containing MY MAC!!
I couldn’t really believe that I now have my very own Mac!
It’s a MacBook Pro. It has Snow Leopard on it. The Machines store assistant said that if I want Lion in my Mac, I will have to download it and install it my self. I left the store with only a Mac. No keyboard cover or any Mac sleeves or the Speck See Thru or Satin thingy. Just the Mac. MY MAC. (It must be irritating reading those two words) :p
Anywho, this is the first blogpost that I write using the Mac. (Does that sound better? ‘The Mac” I mean?)
There’s not much to talk about the Mac since I am new to this Macintosh world.
I bought this on the 14th of September 2011. Talking about September, there were so many things happened in this month.
I will squeeze in some of the events occurred in late August too.
30th August- 1st day of Eid. We put on our brand new baju raya. Abah went for the prayers in a nearby Mosque. Mama and my sisters prepared ourselves. When Abah came home, we ate ayam kuzi with roti jala. Yummy! Finger lickin’ good. So good you can even eat it on its own. (We slept late the night before, preparing the roti jala). Then, we went to Wan’s house. By the time we arrived, many people were already there. As usual, we ask for forgiveness from everyone. And we also get Eid ca$h. One of my aunt and her family went to Malacca later on. So my grandma and my other aunties, uncles and cousins (and of course my family) went to our house. Among the food that were served was cheesecake made by my sisters and myself.
31st August- 2nd day of Eid. Again, all my relatives visited our house including the family that went to Malacca the other day. On this day, chocolate cake was served. But I can say that it didn’t taste as delicious as the cheesecake was. We had Laksa Johor. Then we went to three houses on a convoy.
1st September- As early as 6.30am, my sisters and I were woken up by a shocking news from mama. She received a phone call saying that one of my cousin fell in front of the toilet and he was unconscious. On our way to their house, his sister informed that they have called the hospital and an ambulance was on its way to bring him to the hospital. In the car, Mama received another phone call from my cousin (who is also the elder sister of my cousin who was unconscious) and she said that he’s gone. That was kind of hard for my brain to digest. As soon as we reached the hospital, most of my relatives were already at the A&E. Weeping and crying. Mama rushed into the room where my cousin was. She as a doctor helped where she could. Once in a while, she went outside of the room, spoke to my aunt, and then she went back inside. As far as I can remember, she said to my aunt that the doctors there attempted resuscitation for about 20 minutes but there were still no reaction from my cousin. And that was when I was sure that my cousin just passed away. The procedures (cleansing the body and the burial) afterwards, Alhamdulillah, went well. There weren’t any problems. The whole family went to the burial and there was where I heard the Talkin read for the first time. It made me scared too. Scared how mine will be. Scared thinking how I will live in the afterlife. That very night, after the Isyak prayers, the Tahlil Arwah was held. (Before the people came, the whole family performed the Maghrib and Isyak prayers as a jama’ah).
2nd September- We went to my aunt’s house in the morning. I could not really remember what happened during the day but at night, there was another Tahlil. And today is also my other cousin’s birthday. He’s 26 this year. I almost forgot, my cousin who has just passed away was only 14. Yes, that young. He died of heart failure.
3rd September- Another Tahlil at night after the prayers.
10th September- Went to my aunt’s house (the same person) to help my cousin with her wedding goodies. The sad thing is, this cousin is the eldest sister of my late cousin who just passed away. It has all been set that her wedding will be on the 16th anyway, so it has to go on. Just imagine you yourself in her shoes.
11th September- Some of us (from the family) went for an outing to search for Jubah and also headscarfs or as we call it, ‘tudung’.
14th September- I bought a Mac on this day.
15th September- Again, went to my aunt’s house to help around for tomorrow’s wedding. The tents were set up . The house were cleaned. Furnitures in the hall were brought outside and new carpets were put on the floor.
16th September- The day has arrived. Our family wore black Jubahs and I guess we looked good. A little sophisticated I guess.
17th September- The wedding reception (the bride’s place). Our family wore turqoise. It rained in the morning so I had to usher the visitors with an umbrella. It was fun. Later on, I helped my aunt and my uncle giving the goodie bags to the visitors before they left. My cousin and her husband looked really nice!
18th September- Second wedding reception but at the bridegroom’s place. After that, each family went back home. Some to KL, and some to Shah Alam. My sisters also went back to their college and boarding school.
19th Sptember- My last piano lesson.
22nd September- I made cheesecake again. (Which is also the best cheesecake I’ve made so far) (I think) Talk about beginners in baking! ROFL
23rd September- The day I write this post. Will pick up my youngest sister from her school and also my grandma.
24th September- We will be going to KL. My flight will be on the 25th at 3 a.m. I’m considering that the flight is on the 24th at night.
25th September- Goodbye Malaysia. There goes my summer holiday.
